Taking a break (July 31, 2022)

Good Sunday Morning!

And a good last Sunday morning of July!

Off to the Vancouver Pride Parade today. One of my favourites, although nothing is as organically connected to place as the Salt Spring Island Pride later in September. Always look forward to that celebration.

I am working through August with a few days off here and there, but I have decided to take a break from writing Good Sunday Morning.

Have a great August!

Stay well and safe.

Love and deep gratitude,

Elizabeth

Over-heated political rhetoric (July 10, 2022)

Good Sunday Morning!

It has been a rough patch for the world, as bombs drop in Ukraine, Japan’s former PM is assassinated, people are slaughtered in Tigray, while closer to home, far too many news articles start with recent gun violence. I have been struck by how many describe incidents perpetrated by a “22-year old white man (men).” Whether in Highland Park, Illinois or the Copenhagen mall or here in Saanich, young men with guns seem to be turning dark thoughts of violence into deadly terror.
