Edits are required to make the website specific to your EDA!
Here is a recommended sequence of work to complete, either task by task, or page by page. Each menu item has a page; some menu items have more pages in a dropdown list.
Tasks 1, 2 and 3 must be completed ASAP. Task 4 is optional at the outset, and includes ongoing maintenance that continues as long as your EDA uses this website.
- Look for blue text throughout the website (every page). Blue text provides instructions or is dummy text (e.g., an address) that needs to be edited. After making the edit, delete the blue prompt or change the edited text’s colour from blue to another colour (usually black), click View Page in the top menu to make sure the edit worked as intended, and only then move on to the next blue prompt.
- All hyperlinks are reddish-brown. Check them (every page) to make sure they still work and that you agree to link to that site.
- Finish up by deleting these instructions!
- Feel free to add or delete text and photos anywhere, not just where there are blue prompts. This Template is a stripped-down version of the Saanich-Gulf Islands EDA website. You may want to have a look at it for ideas regarding additional pages and content (e.g., EDA Executive Committee Minutes).
